Entropy, black holes, and the new cyclic universe

چکیده
We track the evolution of entropy and black holes in a cyclic universe that undergoes repeated intervals expansion followed by slow contraction smooth (non-singular) bounce. In this kind scenario, there is no big crunch chaotic mixmaster behavior. explain why following each bounce naturally partitioned into near-maximal matter-radiation sector near-minimal gravitational sector, satisfying Weyl curvature conditions conjectured to be essential for cosmology consistent with observations. As result, can undergo an unbounded number cycles past and/or future.

Phantom Energy Accretion onto Black Holes in Cyclic Universe
Black holes pose a serious problem in the cyclic or oscillating cosmology. It is speculated that, in the cyclic universe with phantom turnarounds, black holes will be torn apart by the phantom energy before turnaround before they can create any problems. In this paper, using the mechanism of the phantom accretion onto black holes, we find that black holes do not disappear before the phantom tur...
متن کاملBlack Holes in Accelerated Universe
We have analyzed the evolution of mass of a stationary black hole in the standard FRW cosmological model. The evolution is determined specifically about the time of transition from the earlier matter to the later exotic dark energy dominated universe. It turns out that the accretion rate of matter on the black hole of mass M was approximately 10M higher than the accretion rate of exotic dark en...
متن کاملBlack Holes, Entropy, and Information
Black holes are a continuing source of mystery. Although their classical properties have been understood since the 1970’s, their quantum properties raise some of the deepest questions in theoretical physics. Some of these questions have recently been answered using string theory. I will review these fundamental questions, and the aspects of string theory needed to answer them. I will then expla...
متن کاملEvaporating black holes and entropy.
We study the Hawking radiation for the geometry of an evaporating 1+1 dimensional black hole. We compute Bogoliubov coefficients and the stress tensor. We use a recent result of Srednicki to estimate the entropy of entanglement produced in the evaporation process, for the 1+1 dimensional hole and for the 3+1 dimensional hole. It is found that the one space dimensional result of Srednicki is the...
متن کاملBlack Holes, Thermodynamics and Entropy
Black holes, thermodynamics and entropy are three topics which both separately and together raise several quite deep and serious questions which need to be addressed. Here an attempt is made to highlight some of these issues and to indicate a possible linkage between the accepted entropy expression for a black hole and the paradox linked to black holes and information loss.
